Still & Sound is an after hours wellness business hidden in the children’s section of Nomad Books. You can find us just a few minutes walk from Parsons Green tube station, just off the Fulham Road.
The classes we offer are yoga, meditation, sound healing and breath-work, all within this cosy and restorative environment. Nomad Books has been around for over 35 years, and has an incredible community surrounding it. When you step inside the shop, and smell the books, the healing begins.
We have a variation of experienced practitioners, all with their own skill set that can help you wind down and regulate your nervous system. Not to mention being in a bookshop after hours has its own kind of magic!
MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Daisy, the founder of Still & Sound.
I grew up in Fulham and have spent nearly a decade working in the music industry. It moves fast and rarely asks you to slow down, and I know what it feels like to need somewhere to land.
My relationship with wellness started during a challenging phase with my health, and what began as a survival tool became something I genuinely love and live by. As much as I loved these practices though, I felt there wasn’t a space for people like me. Away from the clanking of the gym machines and the fluorescent lighting. Somewhere soft, safe and still. A place that felt like an exhale.
That place turned out to be right here. Nomad Books has been my mum’s bookshop for over 35 years and my safe space for as long as I can remember.
After hours, once the doors close and the books go quiet, it becomes something else entirely. Low lighting, intimate and completely unlike anywhere else in Fulham.
I started Still & Sound because I wanted people to find their own safe space within the business of London, and Nomad Books felt perfect.
